Never run out of critical consumables.

With vendor-managed inventory, you agree the levels and Sucatec keeps the stock between them.

How vendor-managed inventory works A repeating loop: stock is counted or scanned at the point of use, a reorder signal is raised at the agreed minimum level, Sucatec ships to the agreed maximum, and the bins are refilled. Why VMI

Stock where you need it, without the chasing

No stock-outs

A reorder signal at the agreed minimum means supply arrives before the bin is empty.

No repeat ordering

Your team stops raising small repeat purchase orders.

Right-sized stock

Levels are set from real usage, so you hold what you need and no more.

Clear usage data

See what each line, area or shift uses and plan with facts.

Fewer urgent orders

Planned replenishment replaces last-minute rush freight.

Works with one supplier

Pair VMI with supplier consolidation for the biggest saving in admin.

Questions about VMI

What is vendor-managed inventory (VMI)?

VMI means the supplier looks after your stock levels. You agree a minimum and a maximum for each item. Sucatec monitors usage and replenishes the stock, so your team does not raise repeat orders.

Which ESD and cleanroom items suit VMI?

Items you use every week and cannot run out of: wipers, gloves, shoe covers, masks, wrist straps, ESD bags, tapes and tacky mats are typical.

How is stock counted?

We can set up a two-bin system, barcode or QR scanning, or scheduled top-up visits, depending on your site and volumes.

Do I have to hold more stock?

No. The aim is the right stock in the right place. Minimum and maximum levels are set from your real usage, so you avoid both stock-outs and over-ordering.

Can VMI work with supplier consolidation?

Yes. Many customers first roll their small suppliers into one, then add VMI for the items they use most.
